You might not think that manners is actually that much of a problem. It is really important that our children eat correctly and say the right things. Children are naturally tending to be bad mannered, and manners is not typically top of their memos.

But if we want them to talk our kids with others kids politely, we have to teach them to be well mannered – it is part of the socialization procedure. Here are some advice and tips on how to encourage good manners in kids.

Expert guidance

Children can be taught the words “thank you” (shukria) and “please” (braai-e-meharbani) right from the start. When they have reached their first birthday. They can also be trained not to interfere in discussions or demand everything they want. Other basics contain learning to pass food to others when they eating, and not rushing through doors or on the sofa so that no one can sit down and relax.

Perfect manners

Showing appreciation and asking respectfully are the basic of social skills. Every child needs to get them, so “thank you” (shukria) and “please” (braai-e-meharbani) should be among the first words in their vocabulary. When they don’t realize what those words mean, it is good for them to understand their importance. Be generous with other important verbal like “sorry” and “excuse me”.

Eating manners

With eating manners, teach them not to eat with their mouths open or speak with their mouths full, and to eat different foods politely rather than shouting “I don’t want to eat this”.

When it comes to mealtime manners, you have to be truthful. Remember, it is actually a reasoning challenge for kids to eat without sprinkling food all over the table and floor. There is no harm in encouraging good eating manners as they have understood the art of putting food in their own mouths. Once they are old enough to eat wisely and politely, and to understand the several rules.

Now what are the rights and wrongs of eating manners? It depends on what is suitable in your family, but common are talking with a full mouth, licking plates or knives, or until they have asked to be excused.
